War Wounds Continued...

So after our wagon rides in Beaumont, we noticed that afternoon that Jackson had a small inflamation/bite mark right under his right eye. Didn't think much of it, just thought he needed some Tylenol (doesn't that fix everything???) a nap, and he'd be fine. Well he was for the rest of the afternoon, as we drifted into the evening it got progressively worse, then we he woke up on Monday early morning to start our normal routine this is what we awoke to... completely swollen shut eye! I took him to the ER and got some much needed meds. His eye was only 40% open by the end of the day on Monday. Tuesday he woke up with a better eye, but from the outer cavity was still puffy. By Wednesday of last week he had a full-on black eye and by Saturday he look pretty much back to normal. Whew! What a week...

Nanny & Pawpaws for the weekend!
Took a long-needed trip to Beaumont to hang with the in-laws. Jackson LOVES the wagon (especially b/c he doesn't have one at home). Here's some pics from his travels around the backyard.

Pushing Cars and such...
Jackson's newest things are opening and shutting EVERYTHING as well as pushing around his Cozy Coupe... he's still excited, even if he's hitting the wall. He'll pull it back and try again till he side swipes the wall. Makes us nervous for when he starts driving in 14 or so years... Like the bumper sticker, we've grafittied it. We're such hippies.

War Wounds--- One of the first major ones... This one just happen to take place at Uncle Jordon and Aunt Shel Shel's a few weeks back. It appears lil man got a lil crazy while he was running around and fell down on his butt right up against the back door on the metal piece that hold downs the wood blinds at the bottom of the door. He still has a scar, but over time, I'm confident it will fade. The craziest thing was that it never really bothered him... kids are so resilient...

Jackson just happen to be looking at me while I was fiddling with the camera, so I quickly snapped this one. I think it captures his true personality!

Here's a picture of Dad with Jackson. They had a great time together! Jackson was wanting to crawl everywhere! We were afraid they would disappear and roll down the hill which had a steep sloped directly behind us.

Went with some friends on Saturday to the Rice University baseball game against Tulane. The weather was perfect, it was 80 degrees but there was a great breeze blowing. We got in for free and sat on "the hill" in right field. The boys had a great time, they actually 'lasted' for 2 hours before Brody fell asleep and Jackson started getting fussy (he was tired as well). When we left, Rice was whooping Tuland 7-2. We will definately be back for another game sometime soon!

Taking a picture of the steel "belle" cow after our tour. Jackson was too hot and ready to go home as you can tell!

Trying one of the ice cold ice cream sandwiches they passed out while we were waiting.
Jackson loved it!!! However, we did have to give him his sippy cup with water afterwards, because I think some of the cookie part got stuck in his throat.
